Hola! All’s well here in La Pastora. I had to stay home Tuesday and Wednesday, but I’m back to work now, and my head only hurts a little :)
This weekend was a little different from others. One of the stakes here had a “mini-mission” activity where the youth in the stake went out with the missionaries for a day and a half. So, we had two 15 year-olds accompany us Saturday and Sunday. They were so sweet and had an awesome experience. They were both pretty shy, but opened up a lot, and both want to serve missions, so this was a great way for them to learn about what we do as missionaries and get to help us in our lessons. It motivated both of them to want to share the gospel with their friends more, and I think they’ll be able to feel more comfortable now that they’ve had a little experience. Lots of fun for us too! Cool for me to recognize how much I’ve learned in just 6 weeks and be able to share that with others.
Not much else is new though… we had a really great training meeting last week for “valientes”, that’s what the call the newbies, at the mission office. Also cambios are this week, but me and Hermana Sanchez are staying put for at least another 6 weeks. We have some new people we’re teaching right now, and every day we’re being so blessed and guided to find the people that need us. I’m grateful to be here and learning so much! And I had the yummiest tacos ever today … life’s good!
